After relocating to Seymour, Indiana when BP was 10 years old, his parents bought him a guitar to help him adjust after the tough transition. That moment changed the trajectory of his life. He became friends with Larry Crane’s younger brothers in middle school. Though they occasionally jammed together, BP had, “absolutely no idea John (Mellencamp) and Larry were famous,” until he saw them on American Bandstand. It was then he realized a career in music was attainable, even for a small town midwestern kid.

BP studied Music Education at Vincennes University, and has since gone on to record and tour the United States playing bass and guitar for several various original and cover acts. He has supported notable national acts that include, Aretha Franklin, Lucinda Williams, Steve Earle, Drive By Truckers, Charlie Daniels Band, moe., Ween, and many others, while racking up well over 1500 career live shows along the way.

When asked about his love of American Fools Band, BP states, “This band is my baby. I love the people in this band so much! Being able to pay tribute to my musical influences by playing guitar on these classic songs, with my friends in this band, just makes every show super special. I hope every fan gets to see this show!”
